Mr. Calvin Massengale, 94, a resident of Picayune, Miss., passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Mr. Massengale served in the U.S. Army in World War II and the Korean War. He was inducted in 1967 as a Free Mason and was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Massengale is survived by his children, Brenda (Louis) Sinesi, Karen Adams, Joan Rice, Calvin “Eddie” Massengale, James (Twana) Massengale, David (Kimberly) Massengale and Kristi (David) Miranda. He is also survived by David “Rock” (Janie) McNabb; 14 grandchildren, Cherie Sheridan, Joshua Legg, Samantha Fontenot, Shawn, Shane, and Travis Rice, Nicole and Colbi Massengale, Chad and Justin Dorsett, Hannah and Joseph Massengale, and Tory and William McNabb; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Massengale was preceded in death by Lyvonne Massengale and his parents, John Henry and Emma Massengale, and also his siblings, Ada Kingsland, Mary Cooper, George Massengale, Ruby Lewis and Lucille Ward.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 3, at Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. There will be food and fellowship after the service at the home of James and Twana Massengale in Franklinton.
