On Friday, April 15, 2022, Bobby Charles Calloway was called home. Bobby Charles was born on Oct. 10, 1959, to the late David Edward Freeman and Chettie Lee Calloway Freeman.

Bobby was a graduate of Bogalusa High School. He loved people and enjoyed lending a helping hand. He would do anything to help anyone.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters, Dorothy (Phillip) Bias of New Orleans, Dr. Charlotte Freeman of Memphis, Tenn., Sherry (La’Roy) Burton of Franklinton, and Lillie Freeman of Bogalusa; one niece, Estelle Richards of New Orleans; aunts, Lillie Calloway-Reed of Avondale, and Minister Mary Calloway-Adams of San Bernardino, Calif.; uncle, Frank Calloway of Petal, Miss.; great-nieces, Jazmine Freeman, Taylor Freeman, Destinee Richards, and Ty-Tyanna Owens, all of Bogalusa, Jah’Nae Johnson of Sandy Hook, Miss., and Armiyah Burton of Franklinton; great-nephew, Kyrel Burton of Franklinton; great-great-niece, Skylar Laurent of Bogalusa; great-great-nephew, Sterling Laurent III of Bogalusa; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Edward Freeman and Chettie Lee Calloway Freeman; one brother, David Earl Freeman; maternal grandparents, Lamar and Jessina Calloway; uncles, Willie Calloway, Johnny Calloway, Simon Calloway and Charles Calloway; and aunts, Willie Ruth Garraway and Sandra Burden.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at the Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Bogalusa, with viewing from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment will follow at the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. A private family repast will be held.
