Marion “Steve” C. Stephens, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the age of 86. He was a longtime employee of Wheat’s Building Supply. Steve was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Crossroads community. He had many friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Stephens and Maggie Lou Pope; and two sisters, Sue Adcock and Terri Mitchell.

Steve leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 26 years, Shirley Stephens; six children, Robbie Brown, David Brown, Ricky Hollis, Debbie Hollis, Mike Hollis and Doreene Hollis; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Steve’s funeral services on Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, located at 7451 Mississippi Highway 43 N. in Poplarville, Miss. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.

Pallbearers will be Greg Brown, Bobby Hollis, Jonathan Hollis, Ricky Hollis, Andy Brown and Matthew Hollis.
