Ms. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Sherman, 73, passed away on April 8, 2022, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. She was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, where she enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening.

Ms. Sherman is survived by a spouse of 17 years, Frankie Corley; five sons, Brian Carroll, Anthony Carroll, Benjamen Carroll, Reece Carroll and Trystan Carroll; four grandchildren, Ciera Carroll, Gage Carroll, Colden Carroll and Aiden Carroll; one sister, Mona Lisa Grantham; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Sherman; her parents, Robert and Lillie Baker; two sisters, Pearl Fairburn and Barbara Kennedy; and two brothers, Robert “Skipper” Baker and Roger Baker.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation started in the chapel on Tuesday, April 12, at 10 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. Interment immediately followed at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scot Cassanova, Jeremy Qualls, PJohn Grantham, Tyler Seal, Nathan Netherland and Chris Hartfield.
