MANDEVILLE — Bogalusa’s Cierra Gibson came in fourth place in the discus at the Jim Camhout Invitational 2022 that was hosted by Northshore at Lakeshore on Thursday.

Gibson threw the discus 76 feet, 9 inches. Pine’s Hannah Hughes was 14th at 53-6. Hahnville’s Jacquet Lawson won at 81-5.

Gibson and Hughes were fifth and sixth in the javelin with distances of 62-3 and 61-0. Hammond’s Bailey Babin won at 103-11.

Bogalusa’s Holloway was sixth in the long jump with teammate Jaleah Mingo coming in 11th with jumps of 15-8.5 and 13-7.25. KIPP Booker T. Washington’s De’Shell Carr won at 16-7.75.

Gibson took seventh in the shot put and Holloway was ninth with throws of 28-3.25 and 25-9.5. De La Salle’s Rayna Jones won at 33-8.

Bogalusa and Pine were the local teams for the meet.

Bogalusa’s 4×100-meter relay team was ninth with a time of 55.61 seconds. The group included Ta’Miya Crumedy, LaDerricka Payne, Holloway and Mingo. Slidell won in 51.95.

Bogalusa’s 4×200 team was 11th after running it in 2 minutes, 13 seconds. The team featured Crumedy, Tamerical Peters, Holloway and Mingo. Slidell topped the event in 1:50.

Bogalua’s Sha’Kenzie Jefferson was 12th and 15th in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles with times of 22.0 and 1:05. Slidell’s Maya Calloway won the 100 hurdles in 16.86, while Salmen’s Genesis Lee was victorious in the 300 hurdles at 48.84.

Pine’s Cameron Magee was 14th in the 800, while Bogalusa teammates Shantazia Taylor and Jayda Henry were 17th and 22nd with times of 3:03, 3:11 and 3:19. Chalmette’s Daili Paige won the event in 2:30.

Crumedy and Henry were 16th and 17th in the 400 after clocking in at 1:15 and 1:16. Slidell’s Angel Jefferson won in 1:01.

Peters came in 21st in the 200 at 31.99 with Slidell’s Khailee Calloway winning in 26.64.

Payne was 26th for the 100 in 15.04. Hahnville’s Madison Bailey won at 12.76.

Bogalusa will be back in action on Saturday at the Pass Christian Invitational in Mississippi, while Pine’s next meet will be on April 7 at Southeastern Louisiana University.
