Franklinton defeated Lakeshore and Salmen in District 9-4A contests that were held on Tuesday and Thursday.

On Tuesday, Franklinton defeated Lakeshore, 21-7, in six innings on the road.

Franklinton scored 13 runs over the last two innings with four in the fifth and nine in the sixth.

The Lady Demons recorded 23 hits for the game.

Audrey Carter went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored.

Skylar Branch singled twice and doubled once, drove in two runs and scored three runs.

K.K. Schexnider posted three hits that included a double with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Caylin Turnage singled three times, drove in a run and scored three runs.

Isabella Causey had three hits, three runs batted in and two runs scored.

Amaya Robertson tallied two hits, three runs batted in and a run scored.

Rayanna Schillings posted two hits with an RBI and a run scored.

Ashley Smith had a hit, a run driven in and two runs scored.

On Thursday, Franklinton won against Salmen, 19-0, in three innings at home.

Franklinton scored 11 runs in the first and eight in the second.

Schexnider drove in five runs in a 3-for-3 day. She tripled and scored three runs.

Shyanne Burris posted four RBIs after going 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Turnage was 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored.

Smith doubled, scored two runs and drove in two.

Robertson singled with an RBI and  had two runs scored.

Branch singled and scored two runs.

Schillings drove in a run and scored three runs, while Carter scored two runs, Causey scored a run and Heaven McNeese drove in a run.

Winning pitcher Branch threw all three innings, allowing no runs on two hits with six strikeouts and no walks.

Franklinton’s next game will be in the Ponchatoula Tournament that is set for March 18-19.
