Zona Jane Wells Breland went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2022. Jane, as she was known, was born in Drew, Miss., on Jan. 12, 1941, to Elliott and Ruth Wells. Soon after they moved to Greenville, Miss., where Jane graduated in 1960. Not long after, she met Morrell Louis Breland, and they were married on June 18, 1960. Jane was a hardworking lady who balanced work and raising six children.

Jane is survived by four siblings, Barbara LaGrand, Elliott Wells, Linda Dodd and Rhonda Carson. She is also survived by her children, Stephanie Breland Dean (Steven Dean), Morrell L. Breland Jr., Mark E. Breland (Brandy Jordan), Cynthia Breland New (Sean New), Debra Breland Young (Chris Young), and Dianne Breland Michel (Mark Michel). Jane also had 14 grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Kimberly Grimes, Jeremy K. Breland, Myra Neese, Kayla Pitts, Amber Knight, Kaitlin Morris, Kacie Morris, Matthew Sears, Heather Breland, Alan Morris, Sadie Sears, Tyler Breland, Hunter Breland and Noah Young, and her 16 great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest sister, Mary Chapman; her husband, Morrell Louis Breland; a daughter, Theresa Ellen Breland; a grandson, Aaron Sears; twin infant grandsons, Devin and Destin; and a great-grandchild.

Jane was a wonderful, caring, and hard-working mother who always put her children first. She touched so many people in her hometown of Greenville, and in her present home of Bogalusa, with her love, generosity, kind words, and her chuckles. She will be sorely missed and is now in heaven with all of her loved ones who have gone before her. Jane and her sweetheart are both young, healthy, and together again.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Memorial Services on Saturday, March 19, beginning at 2 p.m.
