Pine victorious over Albany

Pine’s Chase Cooper drove in four runs in a 17-7 win over Albany in six innings at home on Tuesday.

Besides the four RBIs, Cooper went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Ethan Ryals posted two doubles with three runs batted in and three runs scored.

Chris Strahan doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Hayden Logsdon had two singles, two runs driven in and two runs scored.

Lucas Lemaire singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored three runs.

Aden Wiggins singled, had an RBI and scored three runs.

Trey Knight singled and scored two runs.

Brandon Sprehe drove in a run.

Cooper got the win, going four innings and allowing one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and a walk.

Pine led 11-2 through five innings, but Albany posted five runs in the sixth to make it 11-7. Pine countered with six of its own in the bottom of the sixth for the ‘mercy rule’ win.

Pine’s next game will be at home in the Franklinton Tournament on March 12.
