Ben’s Ford tops Bowling Green

Ben’s Ford Christian School topped Bowling Green School, 4-3, at home on Tuesday.

Trevor Bennett doubled and drove in two runs for Ben’s Ford.

Aaron Forbes singled and scored three runs.

Jonah Williams singled and drove in a run.

Ein Knight scored a run.

Winning pitcher Bennett allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits with three strikeouts and two walks over six innings. Joseph Williams threw a scoreless inning of one-hit ball with a strikeout and no walks.

Bowling Green’s Deviun Bickham singled, tripled and scored two runs.

Grayson Painter singled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Bubby Bryant, Keaton Ruffino and Matthew Bienvenu all singled.

On Monday, Bowling Green School was victorious over Centreville Academy, 17-9, on the road, as Michael Yarborough and Bryant had solid games.

The two combined on nine RBIs.

Yarborough went 2-for-3 with five runs batted in and a run scored.

Bryant went 3-for-4 with four runs driven in and three runs scored.

Bickham singled twice, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Cayden Schloegel tallied a hit with an RBI and two runs scored.

Painter tallied a hit, two runs batted in and a run scored.

Kyron Cowart singled, drove in a run and scored two runs.

Ruffino scored three runs, while Morgan Verret scored two runs.

Ben’s Ford was defeated by Lamar Christian School, 5-2, in nine innings on Thursday.

Forbes had two hits that included a double and a run scored.

Joseph Williams doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Jonah Williams singled.

Caden Carney drove in a run.

Joseph Williams was solid on the mound. He got a no decision after going 7-2/3 innings and allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits with 14 strikeouts and no walks.

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s next game will be on March 22 against Wilkinson County Christian Academy at home.

Bowling Green School will play again on March 15 against Brookhaven Academy on the road.
