‘Ramble’ set for March 12th, registration due by Monday

Explore a new part of Louisiana’s past by attending the “Ramble” in Washington Parish. Join friends and family for a day of touring historic sites in and around Bogalusa and the parish on Saturday, March 12.

All registrations include an informational booklet and boxed lunch. Transportation between sites is not included, and carpooling is encouraged. LTHP event attendees are to follow all CDC and Louisiana Health Department protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The tentative agenda and schedule is as follows:

  • 9:30 a.m. — Check-in and registration at Annunciation Catholic Church.
  • 10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. — Welcome.
  • 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. — Local churches and Sullivan House.
  • 11:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. — Bogalusa City Hall.
  • 12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. — Train Depot/lunch at depot.
  • 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Bob Hicks House.
  • 1:35 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. — Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church.
  • 2:10 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. — Studio in the Country.
  • 3 p.m. — Coca-Cola and burgers/snacks and live music from Keenan Knight and Trent Grabert.
  • Explore town and local shops on your own afterwards.

Registration is $50 for general admission, $45 for member admission (automatic discount when you login to “NEON,” or must verify active membership; contact 225-930-0936), and $15 for teachers and students.

Entrance into sites will require a pass.
