The Bogalusa Police Department will be working a “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, continuing through Mardi Gras Day on Tuesday, March 1, according to Assistant Police Chief Percy Knight.

This campaign is funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.

Knight said that the grant pays off-duty officers overtime to have extra patrols on the streets to find impaired drivers during the Mardi Gras season.
