Bowling Green’s Buccaneers were topped by St. Joseph Academy of Madison, 50-38, in the first round of the 2022 South 5A Basketball Tournament that was held on Tuesday at Copiah Academy.

Nathan Jenkins scored 19 points to lead Bowling Green.

This concludes Bowling Green’s season.

St. Joseph of Madison won the tournament and will play in the Class 5A event.

The top four teams move on to the Class 5A Tournament.
