Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles were defeated in the first round of the 2022 South 3A Basketball Tournament, 64-39, by Prairie View Academy on Tuesday at Providence Classical Academy.

Ein Knight topped Ben’s Ford with 12 points.

Nate Descant and Joe Williams both put up eight.

Jonah Williams tallied seven.

Caden Pajak had three.

Ethan Norwood posted one.

Ben’s Ford had two seniors this season in Norwood and Williams.

“Ethan Norwood is a guy who quit basketball in eighth grade and came back to play his senior year,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Derek Dantin said. “I wish he would have played his entire high school career. He’s a big that can shoot it. Great student. He’ll be a success whatever he decides to do.”

Dantin said that Williams has played at Ben’s Ford literally his whole life.

“If you know basketball you’ll get this. Joe is a guy you want on your pickup team. He can shoot, can get himself open, and has a good basketball IQ. Joe’s a great guy, humble and we’ll miss him,” Dantin said.

Prairie View Academy advanced to the Class 3A Tournament after coming in third place.

The top four teams move to the Class 3A Tournament.
