UTA junior forward Starr Jacobs scored a season-high 33 points and brought down 10 rebounds in the Lady Mavs’ victory against then-league-leading App State on Saturday. She is the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.

She is the first player to earn four Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades in a single season since UTA’s Marie Benson claimed the honor five times during the 2019-20 campaign.

In the win against the Mountaineers, Jacobs totaled 33 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, three assists and a block. It marked her first double-double at UTA. Jacobs shot 13-of-25 from the field. She became the fifth player in UTA history to score 30 or more points multiple times in a season.

In her last four contests combined, Jacobs is averaging 29.2 points per game. She has totaled a 30-point game in each of the last two weekends.

The win against App State helped move UTA into a tie for first place in the Sun Belt Conference.
