Mr. Tony “Butch” Romano, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, in New Orleans, at the age of 82. He was a loving and caring brother and was the greatest uncle ever! He loved visiting family in Baton Rouge and visiting the campus of LSU and tailgating with his nieces and nephews. He was christened at Annunciation Catholic Church and remained a member of the church his whole life and also was the office administrator for the church for over 13 years.

“Butch” is survived by one brother, George M. (Cynthia) Romano; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eda Caramella Romano; three brothers, Alfred Romano, Russell Romano and John L. Romano: and four sisters, Katherine Romano, Elizabeth C. Romano, Mya Jean Collett and Margaret R. Simmons.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church. A Catholic Mass will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
