Mr. George Edward Denham, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at the age of 94. Mr. George retired at the age of 87 from B.B. Sixty Rayburn Correctional Center. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. George was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Mr. George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Mabel Denham; his parents, Junice and Lena Denham; a sister, Gurtrude Fleming; and a grandson, Gerald Williamson Jr.

Mr. George is survived by his children, George (Mary) Denham Jr., Glenn Allen (Karen) Denham, James Denham, Pam (Geoffrey) Williamson and Wanda (Rodney) Knight. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, at Emmanuel Baptist Church from noon until time for the services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Pete Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Military graveside rites will be performed by Magic City Legion Post #24.
