Valerie Mingo was born in Franklinton on July 10, 1965, to her parents, Christine Mingo and Earnest Clark. She confessed Christ at an early age, uniting with Hayes Creek Baptist Church where she was baptized. She is a Franklinton High School graduate.

She later met and married Adam Parker in Lacombe.

She departed this life on Jan. 26, 2022.

Val is survived by her children, Chris, Keellie, Katelyn and Adam Jr.; her mother, Chistine Mingo; three sisters, Mella, Lynn and Kim, all of California; a brother, Craig Mingo of Rochester N.Y., and her brother Leon, who preceded her in death; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
