UTA’s Jacobs earns 3rd Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade

UTA junior forward Starr Jacobs averaged 28.0 points per game on .588 shooting this past week and has earned her third Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade this season.

Jacobs, a Dallas, Texas, native in her first season with UTA after transferring from Temple College, helped the Lady Mavs to road wins at Arkansas State and Little Rock this past week.

Jacobs averaged 28.0 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per contest during the two-game stretch. She went 16-for-21 at the free-throw line on the week and hit key shots late in both contests to secure the victories.

In the win at Arkansas State, Jacobs scored a season-high 32 points on 13-of-21 shooting, including seven rebounds and three assists.

In the victory at Little Rock, Jacobs tallied 26 points on 7-for-13 shooting. She made 10-of-12 from the charity stripe against the Trojans.
