Mr. Jeffery Neal Coon, 54, of Franklinton, died on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

Born Sunday, December 17, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Mr. Earl Coon and the late Mrs. Martha Lee Martin Coon. Jeffery was the husband of Joy D. Coon and an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2063 Shady Grove Road in Osyka, Miss., with the Rev. Jarvis Lee rendering the eulogy. The Rev. Elton McEwen is the pastor of Shady Grove MBC.

Interment will be in the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends with a walk-thru visitation from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at Washington Funeral Home, located at 714 Second St. (GPS 720) in Tylertown, and at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, until service time at Shady Grove MBC.
