Ms. Candice Louise Bennett went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at the age of 41. She was of the Baptist faith. Candice loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by: special companion, Matthew Slade; one daughter, Skylar Bennett of Livonia; her mother, Colleen Singleton, of Livonia; her father and stepmother, Dana and Ruth Bennett of Bogalusa; god-mother, Gayle Hirschey; half-sister, Alieen Renee Singleton of Livonia; aunts and uncles, Deborah Wamsley and her husband Mark of Baton Rouge, Robert Bridges and his wife Kerri of Houston, Texas, and Norma Bennett Lee and her friend Jimmy Corkern of Bogalusa; and numerous other family and friends, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Candice was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Rae Bennett; maternal grandparents, Warren and Irma Bridges, and paternal grandparents, Frankie and Mildred Bennett; two uncles, Donald Ray Bennett and Billy Wayne Bennett; and god-father, Wayne Hirschey.

Visitation was held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 21, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will continue on Saturday, Jan. 22, beginning at 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Services will be officiated by Bro. Joe Roszelle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church’s building fund, or to a charity of your choice.

Interment will immediately follow at McGehee Cemetery in Bogalusa.
