Several Lady Bucs make top all-district team

Several Bowling Green School softball players are first-team all-district players in the 4-5A league.

Bowling Green’s top-team players are third baseman Cassidy Spears, catcher Albanie Fussell, utility Anna Claire Crowe and first baseman Kylee Burris.

Spears recorded a .480 batting average this season with a .567 on base percentage and .720 slugging percentage. Spears hit three homers, drove in 12 runs and scored 18 runs. Spears struck out just once in 61 plate appearances.

Fussell was a .534 hitter with a .541 on base percentage and .810 slugging. Fussell hit four homers to go with 18 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. She did not strike out in any of her 61 plate appearances.

Crowe batted .446 with a .458 on base percentage and .554 slugging. Crowe hit a homer with 17 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

Burris recorded a .263 batting average, .288 on base and .368 slugging. She drove in 12 runs and scored nine runs.

Three more players are second-team all-district including outfielders K.K. Seal and Hallie Serigne and utility Katherine Burris.

Seal batted .300 with a .370 on base percentage and .375 slugging. She tallied nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Serigne posted a .300 average with a .400 on base percentage and .460 slugging. Burris had 10 runs batted in and 12 runs scored.

Serigne recorded a .347 batting average, .407 on base percentage and .408 slugging percentage. Serigne drove in 11 runs and scored 14 runs.

Bowling Green’s all-district honorable mention players are pitcher Olivia Serigne and Madison Thomas.

Serigne went 4-0 with 25 strikeouts and 30 walks in 74-2/3 innings.

Thomas hit .327 with a .400 on base and .367 slugging. She tallied nine RBIs with 13 runs scored.
