Lady Jacks come up short in recent games

Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks were defeated by Hammond, Jewel Sumner and Covington in games that were held on Jan. 7, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Hammond score was 73-62 on the road on Jan. 7.

Tamirecal Peters and Taniya Brown both scored 15 points to lead Bogalusa.

Ladericka Payne was just a point behind at 14.

Mariah Myles posted nine.

Tamiya Crumedy posted six.

Danasia Harris recorded three.

Bogalusa lost the next two games by a combined five points.

On Tuesday, Bogalusa was topped by Jewel Sumner, 54-50, in the District 8-3A opener on the road.

Brown tallied 19 points to lead Bogalusa.

Harris posted eight.

Peters had seven.

Payne put up five.

Myles and Crumedy both put up four.

Tyasia Toussaint had three.

On Wednesday, Bogalusa came up short to Covington, 41-40, at home in non-district play.

Bogalusa’s next game will take place on Friday, Jan. 14 when the Lady Jacks go against Archbishop Hannan at home.
