Mr. Douglas Horne, a native of Carriere, Miss., and resident of Bogalusa, passed away at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at the age of 78. Mr. Horne taught in the Bogalusa School System for 20 years.

Mr. Horne is survived by his wife, Ruth Horne of Bogalusa; a brother, Gregory Warren (Charlotte) Horne of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and a nephew, Lt. Col. Donald Steven Horne. He is also survived by a host of friends.

Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his parents, Col. Wickcliff and Sarah Horne; and a brother, Wickcliff Steven Horne.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating.
