University of Louisiana at Lafayette defensive lineman Andre Jones is an all-Sun Belt Conference player.

Jones, who is a 2017 Varnado High School graduate, made the league’s third team.

This season, Jones, who is a redshirt junior, made 60 tackles with 9.5 stops for a loss with six sacks, four passes defended, five quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles over 14 games.

This season, the Ragin’ Cajuns lost their first game to Texas, 38-18, and then won their next 13 games to cap off the season.

Louisiana won two championships. They won the Sun Belt title with a 24-16 win over Appalachian State University. Two weeks later, the Ragin’ Cajuns won the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, 36-21, over Marshall.
