James Russell Pritchard, 83, a resident of Angie, passed away at his residence on Jan. 1, 2022. He was born in Bogalusa on Dec. 12, 1938, and owned Pritchard Trucking Company until he retired. He was also a veteran that served his country in the Air Force.

Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Frances Roussell Pritchard; his sons, Rusty (Cindy) Pritchard, Randy (Lisa) Pritchard and Reed (Angela) Pritchard; his daughter, Rhonda Pritchard Scorsone; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his brother, David (Gayle) Pippin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Samuel and Marie Gates Pritchard; and a brother, Buddy Pritchard.

A graveside service to celebrate Mr. Russell’s life was held on Monday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. at Ponemah Cemetery. The Rev. Marcus Rosa officiated and interment followed the graveside at Ponemah.
