Franklinton, Pine girls compete in tri meet

Franklinton and Pine competed in a powerlifting tri girls meet that was held at Salmen on Saturday and the local participants were solid.

Franklinton’s Angel Dufrene won the 97-pound weight class with a 340 total between squat, bench and deadlift.

Franklinton lifters took the top three spots in the 105.8s with Ashlyn Beard winning at 340.

Arrielle Coates was second with a 225, followed by teammate Eliza Realo’s 205.

Franklinton’s Kaylee Ard won the 114.5s with a 415 total.

Moving to the 123.5s, Franklinton’s Ava Roshto won her weight class with a 500.

Teammate Hannah Spears came in second after recording a 440.

Franklinton’s Marleigh Schilling topped the 132.3s with a 610 total.

Teammate Jennifer Dong was second at 595, followed by Salmen’s Sofia Kaluyeva’s 445.

Continuing to the 148.8s, Franklinton’s Isabella Lambert captured that weight class with a 470.

Franklinton’s Hope Phelps and Salmen’s Autumn Sellno tied for second, as both posted a 445.

Franklinton’s Emma Dutruch was victorious in the 165.3s with a 390.

Franklinton’s Alyssa Robins and Salmen’s Kiana Schuler evened for second at 360.

Franklinton teammates Christian Loup and Hannah Michele were first and second in the 181.8s.

Loup won with a 500.

Michele was next at 310.

In the 198.3s, Franklinton’s Landry Tayte topped her weight class with a 635.

Salmen’s Destiny Beasley was runner up with a 580 and Franklinton’s Candance Alexander was third with a 500.

Franklinton’s Arielle Magee won the 220.3s with a 570.

Franklinton’s Arguellas Evelyn won the super heavyweights 715.

Salmen’s Katie Galey came in second at 670, followed by Franklinton’s Jazxavia Crosby’s 505.

Franklinton had 52 total powerlifters at the meet, with 32 girls and 20 boys.
