Mrs. Judy Phelps Thornton, 56, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

Mrs. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Roy Thornton. She is also survived by one son, Jacob Thornton; one daughter, Laurel and her husband Brandon Boone; a grandchild, Lynlee; a sister, Linda Sharp; one brother, Charles K. Phelps; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends that loved her dearly throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward James Phelps; her mother, Kathleen Phelps; and two brothers, James Wendell Phelps and Kenneth Phelps.

She is loved fiercely and deeply, just as she loved others. We take comfort in knowing Mrs. Judy is now at peace, surrounded by light.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Interment will immediately follow at Bonnie Cemetery in Angie.
