Several local football players have one more football game this season, as Washington Parish will be well represented in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association/Louisiana Football Coaches Association North Shore All-Stars on Saturday at Strawberry Stadium on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University.

Five players, who either play for schools in Washington Parish or live in Washington Parish, along with one coach, have made it in the game.

Pine has two, while Franklinton and Varnado have one and a Bogalusa resident has made it as well.

Pine’s Adrianuen Johnson and Bryson Thomas are all stars for the Raiders.

Johnson is the District 9-2A Offensive Most Valuable Player and a first-team all-district running back.

Thomas is a first-team all-district offensive lineman and second-team all-district defensive lineman.

Franklinton’s Billy Gross is an all star.

Billy Gross is a first-team all-district linebacker in 9-4A.

Malik Patterson is an all star for Varnado.

Patterson is a first-team all-district tight end/flex in 9-2A.

Pope John Paul II’s George Arata, who is a Bogalusa resident, is an all star.

Arata is a first-team all-district running back this season in District 10-2A.

Pine head coach Bradley Seal will be a team coordinator.

Players in the game are seniors and are selected from several parishes including Washington, Livingston, St. Bernard, St. Helena, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa.

The game will kick off at 2 p.m. and admission is $10.
