Mt. Hermon School’s Lady Jackets and Pine’s Lady Raiders both posted a 2-1 record in the Franklinton High School Basketball Tournament that was held Dec. 1-4.

Mt. Hermon won its games over Franklinton and Varnado.

The game against Franklinton was held on Dec. 1. The Lady Jackets won that game, 52-20.

Mt. Hermon’s Bailey Fortenberry tallied 21 points to lead the Lady Jackets. She made four 3-pointers.

Brooklyn Falgout recorded 13.

Katherine Quin tallied nine.

Amuriel Williams posted six.

Blayke Brinker had two.

The win over Varnado was 39-29 two days later.

Fortenberry was Mt. Hermon’s leader in points with 17. She made three 3-pointers.

Falgout posted nine that included a 3-pointer.

Williams, Brinker and Alexa Bulloch all had four.

Quin recorded one.

Varnado’s Myeasha Peters scored 14 points to lead the Lady Cats.

Jakyra Daggs tallied six.

Jalisia Jackson posted four.

Janayia Harry and Kasia McGowan both had two.

Myeshawn Fox recorded one.

On Dec. 4, Mt. Hermon was defeated by Loranger, 62-30.

Fortenberry scored 16 points that included four 3-pointers.

Falgout tallied five.

Quin posted four.

Brinker and Bulloch both had two.

Pine tallied a 2-1 mark.

The Lady Raiders began the event with a 63-32 win over Varnado on Dec. 1.

Alyssa Phelps scored a game-high 20 points that included a 3-pointer.

Diamond Dawson tallied 11.

Hailey Martin posted nine.

Emma Lyons had seven.

Sarah Lyons recorded six.

Dillon Sumrall had four.

Addyson Phelps, Madison Morgan and Kirbee Magee all put up two.

Jackson topped Varnado with eight points.

Fox and McGowan both posted six.

Peters and Daggs had four each.

Tyriah Davis recorded two.

Pine was defeated by Loranger, 50-28, the next day.

Alyssa Phelps led Pine with 10 points that included two 3-pointers.

Dawson recorded eight.

Lyons logged five.

Sumrall and Addyson Phelps posted two apiece.

Martin had one.

Pine’s final game of the tournament was a 58-15 win over Franklinton on Dec. 3.

Martin and Addyson Phelps both posted 10 points to lead Pine.

Sumrall put up eight.

Alyssa Phelps, Dawson and Morgan all recorded six.

Emma Lyons and Sarah Lyons scored four each.

Bailey Brooks had two.

Varnado went 1-2.

The Lady Cats were defeated by Pine on Dec. 1 and Mt. Hermon School on Dec. 3.

Varnado defeated Franklinton, 49-39, on Dec. 2.

Daggs led the Lady Cats with 16 points.

Peters posted 10.

Jackson had eight.

Fox put up two.

Shantel Calais tallied one.

Franklinton was defeated in its three games, with losses to Mt. Hermon School, Varnado and Pine.
