Franklinton, Pine compete in tourney

Pine and Franklinton competed in the Franklinton High School Basketball Tournament that was held Dec. 1-4.

Pine won one of its three contests.

The Raiders were defeated in their opener, 67-30, by Fontainebleau on Dec. 1.

P.J. Foster led Pine with 13 points that included two 3-pointers.

Luke Spears posted seven.

Adrianeun Johnson had four.

D.J. Garrett tallied three.

Preston Stogner had two.

Christopher Dollerson put up one.

The next game was a 71-56 loss to Lakeshore on Dec. 2.

Foster scored 25 points to lead Pine. He made two 3-pointers.

Spears posted 17.

Stogner recorded eight.

Johnson tallied three.

Garrett had two.

On Dec. 3, Pine won against Franklinton, 52-37.

Spears and Garrett both had 11 points to top Pine.

Johnson recorded 10.

Foster tallied eight.

Stogner posted six.

Kendall Fountain had two.

Franklinton was defeated in its three games.

The Demons lost to Loranger, 66-47, on Dec. 2 with the loss to Pine on Dec. 3 and then a 64-29 loss to Fontainebleau on Dec. 4.
