The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office has suspended the search for the missing boater on the Pearl River at the Poole’s Bluff sill location, according to WPSO Chief Criminal Deputy Mike Haley.

After nine days, the second boater has not been recovered, Haley said. He noted that the WPSO’s decision was discussed with the family of the missing boater.
