Lady Jackets competed in tournament, topped by Kentwood on Tuesday

Mt. Hermon School’s Lady Jackets went 1-2 in the Team Sportsplex Thanksgiving Classic that was hosted by The Dunham School Nov. 22-23 and was defeated in by Kentwood on Tuesday.

Mt. Hermon was defeated by Family Christian Academy in its first game, 55-27, that was on Nov. 22, which was their first of two games that day.

Brooklyn Falgout led the Lady Jackets with 14 points.

Shunna Williams posted nine.

Katherine Quin and Alexa Bulloch tallied two each.

The second game on Nov. 22 was an 18-17 victory over Ascension Episcopal in double overtime.

Quin and Falgout tallied five each to top Mt. Hermon.

Williams and Bulloch posted three each.

Amuriel Williams recorded two in the win.

The next day, Mt. Hermon was defeated by The Dunham School, 40-18.

Falgout tallied six points to top Mt. Hermon.

Williams had five.

Bulloch recorded three.

Quin and Amuriel Williams both had two.

On Tuesday, Mt. Hermon was topped by Kentwood, 38-33, on the road.

Fortenberry tallied 13 points to lead Mt. Hermon. She made two 3-pointers.

Falgout posted 11 points.

Alexa Burch recorded five points.

Quin and Williams tallied two each.

Mt. Hermon School’s next game will take on Friday, Dec. 3 against Varnado in the Franklinton High School Basketball Tournament at 3:45 p.m.
