The International Paper Bogalusa Mill awarded $90,000 in grants from the IP Foundation to area non-profits in 2021. The mill distributes grants based on the company’s signature causes of Hunger, Health and Wellness, and Literacy and Education.

This year’s award recipients included: Bogalusa Heart Study — School Education Program; Bogalusa Help Center — Feeding the Needy; Bogalusa Rebirth — Blight Elimination; Bowling Green School — Robotics Program; Northshore Food Bank — Staple Food Box Program; Second Harvest Food Bank — Fighting Hunger & Feeding Hope; Washington Parish Government — Bogue Chitto Bike Trails; Washington Parish Library — Summer Reading Program; and YMCA of Bogalusa — Aquatics Program.

The mill will begin a new grant funding cycle Jan. 1, 2022, at which time local non-profits can apply online at www.ipgiving.com. Click on “Apply for a Grant” and a series of qualifying questions will follow.

Local non-profit organizations do not require an invitation code to apply. Select the Bogalusa Mill as the mill location. From there, the site walks the applicant through the process.

Each year, International Paper provides more than $10 million to support thousands of charitable organizations in the communities where its employees live and work. Company contributions and Foundation grants are a significant part of IP’s giving strategy, as the company strives to be the best socially responsible corporate neighbor in its communities.
