With a week remaining on the regular-season schedule, four Sun Belt teams have clinched bowl eligibility—App State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State and Louisiana. Two teams—South Alabama and Troy—can reach the requisite six wins with victories this weekend.

The conference’s postseason lineup includes placement in three ESPN Events owned-and-operated bowl games and participation in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and the LendingTree Bowl on an annual basis.

ESPN Events will have three Sun Belt picks and will utilize a flex model to select teams into the following pool of games:

• Friday, Dec. 17 – Cure Bowl (Orlando, FL) | 5 p.m. | ESPN2
• Saturday, Dec. 18 – RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl (Boca Raton, FL) | 10 a.m. | ESPN
• Saturday, Dec. 18 – New Mexico Bowl (Albuquerque, NM) | 1:15 p.m. | ESPN
• Monday, Dec. 20 – Myrtle Beach Bowl (Myrtle Beach, SC) | 1:30 p.m. | ESPN
• Tuesday, Dec. 21 – Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Boise, ID) | 2:30 p.m. | ESPN
• Tuesday, Dec. 21 – Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl (Frisco, TX) | 6:30 p.m. | ESPN
• Saturday, Dec. 25 – Camellia Bowl (Montgomery, AL) | 1:30 p.m. | ESPN
• Tuesday, Dec. 28 – SERVPRO First Responder Bowl (Dallas, TX) | 2:15 p.m. | ESPN

The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and LendingTree Bowl will also hold Sun Belt selections.

• Saturday, Dec. 18 – LendingTree Bowl (Mobile, AL) | 4:45 p.m. | ESPN
• Saturday, Dec. 18 – R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (New Orleans, LA) | 8:15 p.m. | ESPN

In addition to the league’s five bowl tie-ins, the College Football Playoff also guarantees that a spot among the New Year’s Six bowl games will be awarded to the highest-ranked champion from the Group of Five conferences.

The Sun Belt champion will be determined in the Hercules Tires Sun Belt Football Championship Game at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 4, in Lafayette, La., a game which will be televised on ESPN. West Division champion Louisiana will play host to East Division champion App State in the third meeting between the two programs in the four-year history of the event.
