Varnado’s Lady Cats were defeated by East Iberville, 66-27, in a home game that was held on Thursday.

Jalisa Jackson posted 11 points to lead Varnado.

Jakyra Daggs recorded six.

Myeshawn Fox had four.

Myeasha Peters tallied three.

Janayia put up two.

Tyriah Davis had one.

“We got into foul trouble early in the game, with three starters fouling out with lots of time remaining in the game,” Varnado coach Garnet Fornea said. “In practice we will be working on attacking the paint more and executing our offensive plays. Also we were not able to connect on our free throws, only making 25 percent which is disappointing.”

Varnado’s next game will take place in the Franklinton Tournament, which will take place Dec. 1-4.
