Little Rock’s Kourouma earns 2nd consecutive Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade

For the second consecutive week, Little Rock redshirt sophomore forward Sali Kourouma is the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Kourouma, a transfer from Grayson College, averaged 28.0 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game last week as Little Rock claimed a pair of wins against Memphis and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Kourouma scored 56 points on the week, including a career-high 32 against Memphis. She shot an impressive 43.2 percent from the field and 78.9 percent from the free-throw line. For the week, she recorded five steals and one block. She averaged 28.0 minutes per game, giving her an average of one point per minute for the week.

Kourouma ranks second in the nation in free-throws made (28), third nationally in points per game (25.2) and ninth in the nation in field-goals made (34).
