Franklinton’s Demons trailed 2-0 at halftime before coming back to tie the game in the second half, but Houma Christian School scored two quick goals in the end of a 4-2 contest that was held Friday at FHS.

After being down 2-0, the Demons scored on a goal by Kade Lavigne to make it 2-1.

Cole Colletti tied the game at 2-2 on a free kick.

But Houma Christian School scored two goals over the final 10 minutes for the 4-2 win.

“We played soccer Friday night,” Franklinton coach Nate Murray said. “It wasn’t a perfect game, but it was beautiful the way we communicated, progressed the ball down the field and played as a team. It was great seeing the kids enjoying the game. We didn’t step away with a win, but we played a lot better, and it was not only an effort, but a product to be proud of.”

Franklinton’s next match will take place against Hammond in a road contest.
