Several local basketball teams are competing in tournaments during Thanksgiving week.

Five teams are in tournaments, including Bowling Green School’s boys and girls teams, Mt. Hermon School’s girls team and Bogalusa’s and Franklinton’s boys squad

Bowling Green is hosting the Bowling Green Shootout that takes place on Monday.

The event features four games starting at 4 p.m. Games tip off every hour and 15 minutes.

Both Bowling Green teams play against Lamar Christian School.

The girls start at 6:30 p.m. and the boys tip off at 7:45 p.m.

Bogalusa and Franklinton are headed to Lakeshore for the Lakeshore Titans Shootout 2021.

The event runs from Monday through Wednesday.

Five games each will be held the first two days with tip times running from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be four on the final day with start times going from 10 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.

Games everyday begin every 90 minutes.

Bogalusa will play the first two days at 2 p.m. both days. Monday’s game is against Fontainebleau, while Tuesday’s contest is against Salmen.

Franklinton will play all three days.

The Demons will start at 6:30 p.m. on Monday against West Harrison. Tuesday’s game is at 3:30 p.m. against Mandeville and the Demons will cap off play in the tournament action on Wednesday against Albany at 11:30 a.m.

Mt. Hermon School’s girls team is in the Team Sportsplex Thanksgiving Classic  hosted by The Dunham School.

Games will be played at the Sportsplex and at The Dunham School.

The event is Monday and Tuesday.

Games at both facilities tip off at 1 p.m. on both days and start every 90 minutes, with the final games getting under way at 7 p.m.

Mt. Hermon will play against Ascension Episcopal on court 2 on Monday at the Team Sportsplex. Tip time is 1 p.m.

Mt. Hermon’s next game will be against The Dunham School at the The Dunham School on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
