Stephanie Radecki announced Tuesday that she is stepping down following four seasons at the helm of the Southern Miss volleyball program.

“I want to thank Jon Gilbert for the opportunity to coach at Southern Miss,” said Radecki. “I wish nothing but the best for the program and the department moving forward. It has been an honor to serve as the Head Indoor coach at Southern Miss and to field the inaugural Southern Miss Beach Volleyball team. It is time for me to embark on a new adventure. I have been able to do what I truly love by providing opportunities to female student-athletes on and off the court.

Radecki finished 17-15 in her first season in 2018, knocking off WKU in the opening round of the Conference USA championship. The Golden Eagles recently completed the 2021 campaign, finishing with an 11-17 mark. In addition, she served as the inaugural coach for beach volleyball program which debuted during the spring of 2019.

“We would like to thank Coach Radecki for her efforts over these last four years,” said Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain. “We appreciate her service to Southern Miss and wish her nothing but the very best.”

A national search for a new head volleyball coach will begin immediately.
