The cross country teams of the Sun Belt Conference are set to compete in the NCAA Regional Championships taking place across the country on Friday.

Teams from the Sun Belt will be competing at three sites – the NCAA South Regional in Huntsville, Ala. (Georgia Southern, Georgia State, South Alabama, Troy); the NCAA South Central Regional in Waco, Texas (Little Rock, Arkansas State, Louisiana, ULM, UTA and Texas State) and the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky. (App State and Coastal Carolina).

The men will run a 10K and the women will run a 6K.

The top-two placing teams at each regional site receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. More information on the selection process for teams and individuals is available on the USTFCCCA Web site. The NCAA Selection Show for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country will take place Saturday, November 13 at 4 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.

The Arkansas State men and women swept the 2021 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships on Oct. 29 in Mobile. South Alabama’s Kirami Yego (men) and Arkansas State’s Pauline Meyer (women) claimed the individual crowns.
