The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team kicks off a three-game homestand with a Southland Conference match at 6:30 p.m. Thursday against first-place Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the University Center.

Following SLU’s match against the Islanders (14-9, 10-1 SLC), the homestand continues Saturday at 1 p.m. against UIW (10-15, 5-6 SLC).

Live stats and an ESPN+ broadcast are available for both Southeastern (8-15, 6-5 SLC) matches this week. Media links can be found on the volleyball schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

SLU has dropped each of its last two matches.

SLU freshman Cicily Hidalgo, an outside hitter from Opelousas, Louisiana, leads the Southland Conference in total kills (362), kills per set (3.93), points (391.5), points per set (4.26), total attacks (1050) and attacks per set (11.41). Hidalgo needs 25 more kills to break into the Lady Lions’ single-season Top 10 for total kills.

Other key personnel driving the SLU offensive attack are Karlee Wilkerson (2.46 k/set), a senior from Springfield, Louisiana, Addie Vidrine (1.87 k/set), a junior from Lafayette, Louisiana, and middle blocker Crispin Adams (1.77 k/set), a preseason All-Conference selection from Brookshire, Texas.

Gracie Duplechein (7.34 a/set), a freshman from St. Amant, Louisiana, currently ranks third in the conference in total assists (675). She splits time with junior Ariana Hebert (3.13 a/set).

Hannah Brewer, a freshman from Benton, Arkansas, ranks eighth in blocks (0.93 b/set) while Ansley Tullis, a sophomore libero from Slidell, Louisiana, leads the team with 4.10 digs per set and ranks sixth in the Southland.

The Lady Lions face both teams for the second time this season. Southeastern lost in straight sets at A&M-Corpus Christi back on Sept. 30, picking up a win in straight sets at UIW two days later.

A&M-Corpus Christi has bounced back from consecutive losses with back-to-back wins over Nicholls and UNO.

The Islanders are led by Kyndal Payne (3.30 k/set), Montez Uigaese (2.60 k/set), Faith Panhans (9.57 a/set) and Carissa Barnes (6.45 d/set).

Barnes leads the Southland in both services (0.41 sa/set) and digs. Payne and Uigaese ranks second and 10th, respectively, in kills. Panhans is second in assists.

UIW has won back-to-back matches after dropping five straight.

The Cardinals are led by Bethany Clapp (3.18 k/set), Natalie Martin (5.68 a/set), Jacqueline Arrington (1.12 b/set) and Macy Sumrall (4.07 d/set). Clapp ranks second in the conference in service aces (0.35 sa/set) and third in kills. Arrington is third in blocks.
