Bowling Green School’s junior varsity football team won the district title after going undefeated in league play. Bowling Green did not allow any points in district play, outscoring their opponents, 80-0.
For the season, Bowling Green went 6-2. The two losses were both by one possession with one of the contests being in overtime.
“I am very proud of this team,” Bowling Green coach Dean King said. “They have worked hard and have played with a lot of effort. We talk about and work on the little things a lot – like blocking, tackling, and playing with effort. They have done that and it showed during the district championship game as well as all season. We are very proud of them and like what we see on both sides of the ball. I thought we played very well offensively and defensively. Our guys allowed zero points. Just super proud of all our players and coaches for a great season and winning the district championship.”
