On Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, in Franklinton, LaJohn Magee Jr. suddenly and unexpectedly departed this life.

LaJohn was born Dec. 20, 2005, at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, to his loving parents, Lakeithia Johnson and LaJohn Magee Sr. LaJohn was blessed to be born into a small, loving family, of which he was the sixth child of six.

LaJohn attended Franklinton High School. He was a member of Beta Club, maintaining a 3.5 grade-point average.

LaJohn leaves to treasure his memory: his father, LaJohn Magee Sr; his mother, LaKeithia Johnson; four brothers, LeDarrell (Tan) Johnson, LeMonte (Naquisha) Bivins, Dondriel (Porsha) Bivins and DeQuarian Bivins; one sister, Myia (Creg) Bivins; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

LaJohn’s maternal grandfather, Mr. Louis Johnson Sr., and paternal grandfather, Mr. John Ira Warren, preceded him in death.

Drive-through viewing will be Friday, Oct. 29, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, with Pastor Antoine Graves officiating (location to be determined).
