Pearl River rodeo turns in another strong performance at Three Rivers College

The Pearl River rodeo team continued to impress with another strong showing in the Three Rivers College Rodeo, earning several top 5 finishes.

The women’s team placed fourth overall while the men placed sixth.

The Wildcats again faced very stout competition, going up against Missouri Valley College, East Mississippi, West Alabama, UT-Martin, Arkansas-Monticello, Three Rivers College, Northwest, Murray State, and Southern Arkansas.

Sarah Booty (Osyka; Amite County) took home third place honors in goat tying and seventh in barrel racing while Lauren Booty (Osyka; Amite County) finished in eighth in goat tying.

Karrigan Cagley (Kentwood, La; Grace Christian Academy) took home sixth in the breakaway roping.

Peyton Barber (Poplarville) finished in the top 10 in barrel racing.

In team roping, Mason Theriot (Poplarville) took home second while Jeb Stewart (Lucedale) and Blake Lyons (Ethel, La.; Silliman Institute) finished in sixth. Kolby Sanchez (Ethel, La.) and Bryce Graves (Poplarville) finished in eighth.

The Wildcat rodeo team will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Southern Arkansas Rodeo in Magnolia, Ark.
