The Washington Parish Disaster Recovery Center is operating in full swing and has little to no wait. It is located at the American Legion headquarters, at 63615 Lakeview Road in Bogalusa.

Operating hours are Monday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. At the Recovery Center, survivors of Hurricane Ida can do the following:

• Apply for FEMA assistance.
• Learn the status of your FEMA application.
• Receive one-on-one assistance with any FEMA letters you receive.
• Find housing and rental assistance information.
• Receive answers to questions and resolve problems.
• Get referrals to agencies that may offer other assistance.
• Learn about Small Business Administration (SBA) programs.

American Legion bingo will be temporarily canceled while the Recovery Center remains open.
