Martha “Fran” Hilton

On Monday, April 27, 2021, Martha Frances Glover Hilton, loving sister and mother of three children, passed away at age 74.

Frances, who preferred to go by “Fran,” was born on July 5, 1946, in New Orleans, to Frank Adrian and Martha (Potter) Glover. She was a graduate from Norman High School in Norman, Okla. She attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, where she was a piano major. She completed her education at the University of New Orleans. In 1967, Fran married Jerry W. Mazerac and one son, Frank. In 1976, she married Ervin L. Hilton and they had two daughters, Jennifer and Julie.

Fran was a born-again Christian and a long-standing member of the Assembly of God Church in Bogalusa and Norman. She worked as a draftsman at Southern Timber. She was teacher at Mt. Pleasant Academy and Franklinton Junior High School. She taught electronics math at Sullivan Vo-Tech. She was also a talented pianist and artist.

Fran was preceded in death by her father, Frank, and her mother, Martha; husbands, Jerry Mazerac and Ervin Hilton; brother-in-law, Calvin Lee “Fuzz” Seaton; grandmother, Billie Glover LaRue; grandfather, Harold “Pat” LaRue, William Lucian Glover; grandparents, Edgar H. and Margaret Watson Potter, and grandson Billy Kyle Parker III in 2021.

She is survived by her son, Frank Mazerac of Lexington, Okla., and daughter, Jennifer Turner and husband Cameron Turner of Lexington, and daughter, Julie Parker of Claremore, Okla. Fran was also the grandmother of nine grandchildren, Kyle Mazerac, Ashleigh Mazerac of Lexington, Nicholas Mazerac of Dodge City, Kan., Reagan Hilton of Yukon, Okla., Sophie Turner and Jonathan Turner of Lexington, Kelsea Parker and Patrick Parker of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Karon “Kay” Seaton of Atoka, Okla., and two nieces, Kristian “Kristy” Graham and husband, James Graham, nephews, Christian Graham and Noah Graham of Running Springs, Calif., and Martha Cunningham and husband, the Rev. Ronn Cunningham of Atoka.

A memorial service will be held graveside on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Ponemah Cemetary in Bogalusa at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jeff Mizell will be officiating the service.
