Cameron Mobley shot a 74 (+2) for the Southeastern Louisiana University men’s golf team in the final round of the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at Ridge Pointe Country Club Tuesday.

Mobley, a Brandon, Mississippi product, finished the tournament at +7 after shooting a 76 (+4) in the opening round and a 73 (+1) in the second round Monday. The Lions’ sophomore started the final round Tuesday inauspiciously with two bogeys in the first five holes. Mobley, however, rallied to shoot even par for the final 13 holes with two birdies and two bogeys.

Sophomore Grant Glorioso also had a solid final round for the Lions shooting 75 (+3). Out of Metairie, Louisiana, Glorioso had a terrific first nine holes as he shot even par with two birdies and two bogeys. The 10th-18th hole was a little bumpy for the Jesuit High grad with two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey before holding strong with a par on the 18th hole.

SLU’s Logan Kuehn entered the day tied for 12th place after shooting +3 for the first 36 holes Monday. The senior ran into some trouble late in Tuesday’s final round with four bogeys on the back nine shooting a 77 (+5). The Lake Charles, Louisiana native finished the tournament tied for 32nd place at +8.

Host Arkansas State won the team championship shooting -6 collectively as four ASU players finished in the top five led by individual champion Jack Madden (-5).

Next up, Southeastern will compete in the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational, hosted by North Alabama, Monday and Tuesday Oct. 18 and 19. The tournament will be played at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club in Killen, Ala.
