Bowling Green School’s Cassidy Spears is an MAIS All-Star.

“Cassidy has been the best hitter in our lineup for the last four years. Been on the MAIS all state team for three years,” Bowling Green School coach David Hood Burris said. “She’s anchored down the corners on our defense since the eighth grade. Well deserving of the all star team.”

This season, Spears hit .480 with an .567 on base percentage of .567 and a .740 slugging percentage. Spears hit three home runs, drove in 12 and she scored 18 runs. Spears struck out just once in 61 plate appearances. In the field, Spears had a .986 fielding percentage with just one error in 74 chances.

The all-star game will take place on Tuesday at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland, Miss. at 1:30 p.m.
