Several local high school volleyball teams competed last week

Bogalusa, Franklinton and Pine competed in volleyball matches last week.

Pine posted a 1-3 record, while Franklinton was 1-2 and Bogalusa was 0-1.

Pine was defeated by Christ Episcopal School, 25-23, 25-18, 25-15, in the Christ Episcopal School Tournament that was held Sept. 25.

Monday’s game was a 22-25, 27-25, 25-12, 25-8 loss to Loranger at home.

Hailey Martin downed 12 kills, pulled up six digs and served an ace.

Gabby Ladner recorded four kills, five digs and an ace.

Abbi Schilling tallied three kills, a dig and an ace.

Cameron Magee posted three kills and a dig.

Kaitlyn Cochran recorded three digs and an ace.

Samara Daniels had a kill and a dig.

On Tuesday, Pine was defeated by First Baptist Christian School, 25-16, 26-24, 25-16, on the road.

Mya Starnes recorded eight kills and an ace.

Martin posted five kills.

Samone Daniels tallied four kills.

Magee logged two kills.

Cochran recorded two aces.

Ladner had one kill.

On Thursday, Pine defeated Franklinton, 25-17, 25-16, 25-14 on the road.

Franklinton’s matches were are all at home.

The Lady Demons won against Bogalusa, 25-19, 26-24, 25-9, in Monday’s match.

On Tuesday, Franklinton was defeated by Amite, 25-15, 21-25, 25-13, 25-17.

Thursday’s match was the loss to Pine.

Bogalusa’s only match this week was the loss to Franklinton.

Pine’s next match will take place on Tuesday with a road game against St. Thomas Aquinas.

Franklinton will play again on Tuesday against Lakeshore on the road.

Bogalusa will be back in action on Tuesday against Pope John Paul II at home.
