There will be fiction), non-fiction, historical, biographical, poetry, short story, humorous, interior design, children’s books and much more. Browsers are invited to this giveaway, which will begin Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at 1737 Gaylord Drive. Gallaspy will also have limited copies of his book, “The City That Refused to Die,” and will sign them for those who might wish to have a copy. Due to a water leak, bathroom facilities cannot be provided. Please wear masks while inside the house.

Isabel Cemetery committee meeting
Isabel Baptist Church will have its annual cemetery committee meeting on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Cemetery donations can be mailed to “Isabel Cemetery Inc., 53330 Parker Road, Bogalusa, LA 70427.”

Debris pickup deadline
The city government of Bogalusa has advised that the last day to put debris on the roadway for pick up is Monday, Oct. 4. Debris placed on city roadways after that date will not be picked up until November. Debris must be separated into three piles — vegetation, construction and “white goods.”
